Premier Kayak Paddle Splash Guards. No More Drip. Sold in Pairs.

I needed a new splash guard for the 260-mile Texas Water Safari, "The World's Toughest Canoe Race". I expected this splash guard might last a day or so before getting ripped off by a tree branch or sunken log or before the Velcro gave out, a risk I was willing to take, but much to my surprise, it not only survived the whole trip but kept my hands dry the entire way. (I should say that my hands getting wet was my own fault, not the fault of the splash guards.) My only gripe is that, although the base of the splash guard is able to keep water from dripping through, it does not close tightly enough to prevent slippage. Thus over time, you will have to adjust the position of the splash guards. They like to ride down and stretch over your paddle blades when you aren't paying attention. At quick fix would be to tie a rubber band round the base of the guard to tighten the seal and hold it in place. we thought they looked flimsy when they arrived but after taking them on what was nearly a whitewater trip they proved that they were much better than the original drip rings on an identical paddle. will be ordering more.

Great upgrade to the stock splash guards on our kayak paddles, far more effective at keeping a paddler dry. They work.
